Since last summer’s UK General Election, and the new political landscape it heralded, the Academy of Social Sciences continues to be a strong voice advocating for and demonstrating the value our disciplines provide across a number of metrics. Across our Policy work, our Campaign for Social Science activity, our Communications, as well as our EDI work, we have over recent months sought not only to showcase research and leading voices from the social sciences, but also to engage with policymakers and broader civil society on the ways in which more can be done to make full use of social science expertise under a new UK Government.
